European Pediatric Immediate Life Support is a multidisciplinary educational course designed for individuals with medical education, particularly geared towards mid-level medical personnel. The training covers the development of practical skills in providing resuscitation measures for children. The course focuses on acquiring the necessary skills and approaches to examine an injured child and provide resuscitation care.
Maintaining airway patency in a child. With the guidance of a certified instructor, all actions and skills become automatic.
Mastering the skills of taking and interpreting ECGs in children is discussed with a certified instructor. The process of taking and interpreting ECGs is covered comprehensively.
Performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) on a child and administering step-by-step defibrillation with a manual or automatic defibrillator (AED) on a pediatric mannequin.
This reviews the process for intravenous and intraosseous access in children. A certified instructor will demonstrate the step-by-step procedures for accessing these methods.
Skills for working as part of a resuscitation team and dispatching a brigade to the scene of an emergency.
Before commencing any practical aspects of the course, the certified instructor always provides theoretical knowledge on the skills mentioned. Participants engage in discussions with the certified instructor to enhance their understanding of the material.
